We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer and Content Manager to support the Marketing and Communications team at Jewish Care on a fixed-term contract.

This is a pivotal role within the team, covering a diverse range of responsibilities, including brand management, digital and print design, PR, social media, and more.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Communications and PR, Digital Marketing Manager, and other team members to produce compelling and engaging content across all channels.

This is a full-time position, working an average of 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday), and is fixed-term for up to 12 months to support the team during a period of leave.

Key Responsibilities:

Print and Digital Design

  • Deliver high-quality print and digital designs, ensuring projects are completed on time and align with organisational goals.
  • Lead design projects from concept to completion, working with clients to meet briefs while maintaining adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Continuously suggest and implement improvements to the brand's visual identity and literature.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, presenting creative ideas and working through revisions to meet expectations.
  • Stay up to date with new design techniques, including animation, to enhance and diversify Jewish Care's content output.
  • Ensure consistency across all marketing and event materials.

Content Creation

  • Contribute to the development of content for PR and print publications, social media, and marketing campaigns.
  • Attend weekly PR and digital content planning meetings to share ideas and ensure alignment with communication goals.
  • Capture stories, photography, video content, and quotes from across the organisation to create engaging multimedia content.
  • Create and manage digital media, including infographics, animations, GIFs, and videos for social media platforms.
  • Attend Jewish Care events to gather new content and boost engagement.
  • Assist in producing e-communications using platforms like MailChimp to support fundraising and event promotion.
  • Uphold and enhance Jewish Care's digital presence, ensuring consistency in branding across all digital platforms.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in both print and digital design, including hands-on experience in content creation for social media.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with animation tools.
  • Experience creating video, infographics, and other digital media for multiple channels.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present creative ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for Jewish Care's mission and values, with a passion for using design and content to enhance engagement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
