Mechanical Project Manager Job Description

Are you a seasoned Mechanical Contracts/Project Manager looking for a new challenge with a reputable company in the construction sector?

Our client, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering, and fit-out company, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's resources to achieve a successful outcome, technically, commercially, safely, and to the client's satisfaction on the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the project and manage the resources on the project on a day-to-day basis.
  2. Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting while identifying the client's requirements and ensuring they are delivered to the client's satisfaction.
  3. Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
  4. Communicate with the project team regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
  5. Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
Requirements:
  1. At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or similar.
  2. Experience of managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
  3. Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification, as well as managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors, controlling contract costs and variations.
  4. Experience of coordinating M&E Services installations.
  5. Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
  6. BTEC: HNC Building Services.
  7. BTEC: ONC Building Services.
  8. CSCS card.
  9. SMSTS – desirable.
