About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties throughout Surrey and West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fixing doors, fitting skirting boards, and undertaking small plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Carry out snagging, tiling, painting, and decorating tasks to maintain the high standard of our properties.
  • Conduct ground maintenance, including gardening and landscaping tasks.
  • Liaise with home managers to ensure timely completion of tasks and manage contractors as required for larger works.
  • Perform general fixes, including changing locks, flat pack assembly, and other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Hold a full driving license.
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in property maintenance or a relevant field.
  • Have knowledge of legislation, regulatory, and best practice requirements for Health and Safety.
  • Be able to administer procurement and supplier management.
  • Be willing to travel throughout Surrey and West Sussex to our properties.
  • Have basic IT skills and excellent ability to work on own initiative and be flexible.
