Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Transport Assistant to join our team in Gloucester and Yate. As an integral part of our patient transport services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from medical appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments, adhering to strict time schedules and safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized ambulance, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, providing support and comfort during transportation.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK driving license and a good understanding of local roads and geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely, while maintaining a high level of physical fitness.
  • Enhanced DBS check and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.
