We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Success Talent in Swindon. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- To ensure that all monthly targets are met, including sales and stock management.
- To assist with creating a strong team environment for the retail team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- When required, assist with recruiting and development of the team, providing coaching and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
- Understand all current and future products and assist with educating the retail team on product knowledge, ensuring they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
- To assist with ordering products, stock control, and responsibility for the delivery of all goods, following up with any discrepancies to minimize losses.
- To carry out month and year-end retail stock takes, following strict stock control guidelines to maintain accuracy and integrity.
- To assist with the control of the team rota, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing costs.
- To carry out daily banking procedures and assist with cashing up at the end of the shift, where necessary, maintaining accurate records and managing cash flow effectively.
- To ensure that customers have a positive experience whilst in the store, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Through relevant retail experience, with some in a management/supervisory position, you must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:
- Managing a team, including recruitment, training, and development.
- Driving performance through KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Retail IT systems, including stock management and point-of-sale software.
- Commerciality and merchandising skills, including understanding product ranges and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential, as communication is critical in this role.
- Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Making timely decisions, anticipating problems, identifying areas of opportunity, and providing creative, logical, and efficient solutions.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, as business needs dictate.
This role offers a competitive salary of £31,000 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced retail professionals. If you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for retail, we encourage you to apply.
