Audit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled External Audit Senior to join our growing audit team in Blackburn. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing audits from planning to completion, supervising junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a portfolio of clients.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify key areas of audit focus.
- Supervise and review the work of junior auditors, ensuring audit quality and accuracy.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the audit process.
- Ensure audits are carried out in compliance with UK auditing standards, IFRS, and UK GAAP.
- Review financial statements and ensure accuracy in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior team members.
- Manage time and resources efficiently to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with audit regulations and technical updates.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in external audit, ideally within a practice environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards, IFRS, and UK GAAP.
- Proven ability to lead audit engagements and manage a team of auditors.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in audit and accounting software such as CaseWare, Xero, or similar.
