GMS, a subsidiary of Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a qualified Compliance Officer to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of the business comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and policy development. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report on compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities and outcomes
Key Responsibilities

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Chairing the GMS Compliance Group to promote best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the compliance system and providing expert advice on compliance matters
  • Ensuring compliance with GMS policies and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A NEBOSH Diploma or degree in a related field
  • Extensive experience in compliance monitoring and health and safety
  • CMIOSH certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
