Health and Safety Professional

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health and safety across our operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. You will work closely with our HSQE and Site teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement safety policies, and conduct regular safety inspections.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, clients, and contractors
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures
- Determine ways to reduce risks and ensure compliance with legislation
- Ensure all working practices are safe and compliant with regulations
- Conduct new start inductions and ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities
- Keep up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Record incidents and accidents and produce reports for management
- Liaise with external health and safety authorities and ensure compliance with regulations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree-qualified or other relevant qualifications
- Relevant experience in a similar position
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
