Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Hinkley Point C. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality control processes are implemented and maintained within the delivery teams. You will work closely with the technical and delivery teams to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives that lead to sustained quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with quality control processes.
  • Identify emerging quality defects and assist in providing solutions to prevent defects.
  • Validate quality inspection records to ensure thorough checks have been carried out.
  • Carry out inspections on suppliers' products and subcontracted works as required.
  • Review products and materials to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with the QC Support team to identify areas for support and ensure it is received.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of technical requirements through mentoring and improving the quality culture on site.
  • Display exemplary quality behaviors in line with the HPC core values and quality commitments.
  • Contribute to initiatives that reduce re-work and target an environment of zero defects.
  • Ensure all work and inspections are carried out in a safe manner.

Requirements:

  • Possess a broad knowledge of construction techniques, specifically within heavy civil engineering and reinforced concrete.
  • Understanding of quality control processes on major projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and suppliers.
  • High level of organization and ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility, motivation, commitment, and a can-do attitude.
  • 3D model viewing/operating skills (preferably Trimble Connect).
  • Reviewing inspection reports and reporting on findings.
  • Microsoft suite skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
