Workshop Controller Job Description

Our client, a leading dealer in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Controller to oversee the efficient operation of their workshop. As a key member of the service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily activities, maintaining high productivity levels, and upholding a professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workshop Management: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and supervise the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to colleagues as needed, during training or MOT testing.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers to keep them informed of their vehicle's status and manage any complaints that may arise.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the workshop team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Automotive Industry Experience: Proven experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Organizational: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
