Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for a highly skilled Construction Engineer on a contract basis, to be located in West Cumbria.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and coordinate all elements of mechanical plant and equipment installation. This will involve liaising with logistics teams and supply chains to ensure safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements, issuing construction packages to installation supervisors, and ensuring availability of approved RAMS, permits, and lifting plans.

In addition, the successful candidate will support the development of look-ahead's based on the programme and milestones, coordinate plant and equipment installation, including sub-contract activities, and ensure all scaffolding and tools are readily available.

A strong understanding of mech engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications is essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience of managing small teams of supervisors and blue collar ops and sub-contractors.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

  • Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects
  • Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site
