About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at GSL Education. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies.
  • Facilitate a positive and encouraging learning experience for students with autism.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism is highly desirable.
