Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer - Sagemaker

At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer - Sagemaker to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer - Sagemaker, you will be responsible for managing the Kubernetes and cloud-based Shared Technology Platform consisting of AWS, Openshift, and Puppet automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Kubernetes and cloud-based Shared Technology Platform.
  2. Work with the Service Teams to transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain.
  3. Troubleshoot issues early on in development lifecycles.
  4. Develop and maintain IT Infrastructure to ensure availability, integrity, and performance of services.
  5. Act as a reference point for technical areas and dispose of complex technical points.
  6. Perform as a technical and behavioural role model within the IT Operations Practice.
  7. Contribute to the continual improvement of the practice and the IT Operations community.
  8. Ensure the development of team members to meet future needs of HMLR.
  9. Take the lead on the analysis and resolution of major issues and problems.
  10. Define operational processes and procedures to maintain the resilience and integrity of the IT infrastructure.
  11. Identify and scope opportunities to improve technical services.
  12. Engage in technical liaison with customers, IT partners, and suppliers.
  13. Make decisions to ensure technical implementations are compatible with the aims of the HM Land Registry business strategy.
Requirements:
  1. Strong experience of Sagemaker Studio: supporting AWS data services such as Lambda, Glue, SQS, Athena, Kafka, ElastiCache (Redis) additionally Amazon API Gateway.
  2. Experience of providing technical leadership and support within a team of DevOps Engineers.
  3. Supporting Linux Operating Systems, containers, and containerized workloads e.g. orchestration services such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  4. Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Ruby, Java, Python, Javascript, Go.
  5. Experience of DevOps working practices of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and the use of version control (Git and GitLab CI).
  6. Configuration-as-code across cloud and on-premise environments using Terraform.
  7. Working in an agile environment building, deploying, supporting, and operating cloud applications (in particular AWS).
