Environmental Science Graduate Programme Overview

At EDF, we're committed to helping Britain achieve Net Zero. Our Environmental Science Graduate Programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the field of environmental science.

What You'll Do

  • Develop strategies and advise on carbon reduction, circular economy, sustainable use of water, and biodiversity net gain
  • Support social value workstreams, delivering jobs, education, and opportunities to communities
  • Contribute to the development of radioactive waste management arrangements and plans
  • Engage with national and international standard-setting bodies, developing future policy and regulation

Training and Development

Locations

Throughout the programme, you'll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business. You'll be based at one of our main locations, including Gloucester Business Park, Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, or one of our operating stations.

Requirements

  • A 2:2 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Engineering, Science, or a related subject
  • A genuine interest in nuclear energy, the power generation industry, and technology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to solve technical problems

Security Vetting

You must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
