About the Programme

At EDF UK, we're committed to helping Britain achieve Net Zero. Our Science and Engineering Graduate Programme is a 15-month training programme designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the nuclear energy industry.

What You'll Do

You'll rotate through exciting placements that will give you hands-on experience across our Nuclear new build sites. You'll work on projects that align with our mission to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and advise on carbon reduction, circular economy, and sustainable use of water
  • Support social value workstreams, delivering jobs, education, and opportunities to local communities
  • Contribute to the development of radioactive waste management arrangements and plans
  • Engage with national and international standard-setting bodies to shape policy and regulation

Training and Development

We're committed to your growth and offer a tailored training path to enhance your skills and knowledge. You'll have access to protected training time for courses covering nuclear fundamentals, EPR systems, communications, and health & safety.

Accreditation and Professional Development

Our programme is accredited with several professional institutions, and we'll support you to gain chartership with the relevant professional body.

Work Environment

You'll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business. Our main locations include Gloucester Business Park, Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and our Operating Stations.

Requirements

To join our team, you'll need a 2:2 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related subject. You must also meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
