Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Pastoral Support Officer to join our team in Manchester, working as part of our Pastoral Support Team. This role requires a strong understanding of pastoral care principles and practices, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on pastoral matters to pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Liaise with external agencies and partners to ensure seamless provision of support services.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote positive behavior and relationships among students.
Person Specification:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Education or related field (not specified).
  • Holds a DSL or other safeguarding qualification.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application.
  • Two professional child-related references.
  • Fully qualified driver with access to own vehicle.
