Page Executive is ​working in partnership with a leading corporate and investment bank to recruit an experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead their Leveraged Finance team.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior credit professional with a proven track record in leading credit teams and negotiating deals in a front office or credit role. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of large cap and cross-over corporate transactions and will be responsible for leading a team of credit officers in the evaluation, challenge, and recommendation/approval of leveraged loan portfolio requests.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of credit officers in the evaluation, challenge, and recommendation/approval of leveraged loan portfolio requests.
  • Develop and implement training on all aspects of LBO risk, including grading, documentation, and credit analysis.
  • Challenging the status quo to build stronger control functions and enhance front office capabilities, processes, and systems.
  • Deep and extensive credit knowledge and transaction experience to provide credit risk and market risk assessment of net take and underwriting positions, focusing on large cap sponsor and cross-over corporate transactions.
  • Manage requests for approvals arising from the leveraged loan portfolio, including evaluation, challenge, and recommendation/approval in relation to SPD proposed waivers, annual reviews, and credit monitoring/grading.
  • Attendance at Special Credit Reviews, setting strategy for credit and assessment of provisions.
  • Lead negotiations for the bank in LBO Special Credits, setting strategy for credit and assessment of provisions.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate should be a seasoned credit professional with commensurate lending experience leading and negotiating deals in a front office or credit role, possessing knowledge of large cap and cross-over corporate transactions. He/She should have a degree level education and/or equivalent professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ACT, CFA, MBA) with longevity (10-15 years+) and experience at a high level in the financial sector. Very strong numerical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and review financial models, including identification of drivers and potential errors. He/She should also be able to lead, manage, and develop a team of VP/AVP credit officers, contributing to the development of the LBO team to ensure alignment with the Business Strategy of EMEA.
