Job Title: Site Manager

At Saur EUROPE, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the construction process, including the management of sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and relevant legislation.
  • Monitor and control the construction budget, ensuring that costs are managed effectively and that any variances are reported and addressed promptly.
  • Coordinate with the design team to ensure that the construction work is carried out in accordance with the design intent.
  • Manage and develop the onsite sub-contractors and on-site client relationships.
  • Attend weekly meetings onsite to review performance and construction target deadlines, reporting progress and reasons behind any change to the Construction Manager.
  • Implement a stringent health and safety policy onsite, ensuring a best-in-class safety environment is adhered to.
Requirements:
  • HNC Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
  • 5 years + experience with onsite coordination, management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers, control of work areas and quality control on large-scale and complex water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Extensive experience within HS Management in an operational setting, involving method statements, accident incident investigation, understanding of current HS legislation and competence in the use of HS Management.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of CDM regulations.
  • Experience, and/or knowledge of being the Principal Designer / Contractor.
  • CSCS Card.
  • SMSTS qualified.
  • First Aider.
  • Strong Mechanical Electrical (MEICA) experience.
