About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a special provision in Bristol.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, starting in November. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, with flexible work arrangements available to support work/life balance.

The salary for this role is £84-£100 per day, paid weekly, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to make a difference in the lives of students with high needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their daily basic needs, including assistance with walking and personal care.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students in the classroom, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • No prior teaching experience is required, but a passion for working with children and young people is essential.
  • You should be confident, proactive, and resilient when working with challenging behaviour.
  • A positive attitude, sense of humour, and ability to work well in a team are also key requirements.
  • Ideal candidates will have some experience working with children or young people with disabilities, although we welcome applicants who are new to this area.
