Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre. This individual will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic services and contributing to the centre's mission of improving local access to diagnostic testing.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience in cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, provocative ECG, ambulatory monitor recordings, and internal loop recorder downloads. They will be responsible for independently reporting test results and adhering to relevant departmental, trust-wide, and national policies and protocols.

Main Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Providing high-quality cardiac diagnostic testing and reporting
  • Demonstrating expert knowledge of cardiac diagnostics
  • Interpreting complex clinical data from diagnostic cardiac testing in urgent and emergency situations
  • Maintaining accountability for own professional actions
  • Caring for diagnostic equipment and ensuring its optimal functioning
  • Ensuring patient wellbeing and dignity throughout their care
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • RCCP or HCPC registration
  • Possession of BSE Accreditation
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in cardiac diagnostics
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Previous line management experience

About the Role

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £65,000 - 80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
