Job Summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our ward administration team, you will provide administrative support to the ward manager and assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ward manager with general administration and provide clerical and typing duties as required.
  • Maintain and update filing and record-keeping systems.
  • Update information (primary nurse lists, ward posters etc.).
  • General upkeep and organization of nurses office and ward managers office.
  • Provide administration support to the department as and when required, which could include minuting of meetings, project support admin and other duties.
  • Assist the Ward Manager in the management of the ward's budget, ensuring good accounting practice within the activity budget books.
  • Assist in data collection and preparation for any quality assurance audit programmes that are to be run.
  • Act as a link between the public, outside professionals and other hospital departments and wards in respect of routine telephone calls and general enquiries. Making diary entries, room bookings and transport bookings as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a similar role and/or environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
  • Previous experience of typing up medical reports and patient discharge letters.
  • GCSE English, C or above.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Able to handle information of a highly sensitive and confidential manner.
