About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at supplychainonline.co - Jobboard. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our purchasing strategy, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to maximize value and minimize costs
  • Manage inventory levels, including storage, locations, transactions, and bills of materials
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations
  • Monitor and forecast inventory trends to inform purchasing decisions
  • Implement and maintain a perpetual stock take program to ensure accurate inventory levels

Requirements:

  • CIPS qualification or equivalent experience in procurement
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to maximize financial returns
  • High level of competency in the use of IT systems, including procurement software
  • Understanding of stock management systems and financial controls
