About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENCO and DSL to join our team at Bricklehurst Manor School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special educational needs and a proven track record of leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance on the development of the SEND policy and provision at the school. They will also act as the Designated Teacher for looked-after previously looked-after students and the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional guidance and support to colleagues
- Liaising with parents and carers to ensure the needs of pupils with SEN are met
- Working with the Headteacher and therapy team to develop and implement the SEND policy and provision
- Acting as a point of contact for external agencies and ensuring that appropriate provision is provided
- Liaising with potential next providers of education to ensure a smooth transition for pupils

- QTS essential
- SENCO qualification desirable
