An exciting role has become available at The Thrive Team Limited for a skilled Welding Trainer to deliver high-quality training programs.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct theoretical and practical welding training sessions, ensuring all training adheres to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Evaluate trainees' performance through tests and hands-on assessments, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Maintain and set up welding equipment for training sessions, ensuring the training facility is clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Track and document trainees' progress and attendance, preparing training schedules and managing training documentation.
- Work closely with other trainers and staff to ensure the continuous improvement of the training programs.
- Certified Welder with recognised certification (e.g. AWS or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with proficiency in various techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding.
- Experience in training or teaching is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively teaching and providing feedback.
- Assessor Award – A1 or AQA etc. or be willing to work towards.
- Knowledge of current Apprentice standards.
- Possess the ability to meticulously ensure training quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Can be flexible in adjusting training methods to accommodate different learning styles and staying updated with industry changes.
- Demonstrates understanding and support for trainees at various skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Takes the initiative in improving training programs and addressing issues promptly.
