We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Public Affairs Assistant to support our team in ensuring policy makers consider dog welfare in their decision making.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Maintain engagement spreadsheets, collate and submit returns to political registers, and assist the team with expense claims.
- Meeting and Event Support: Book meeting rooms, draft agendas, and take minutes for internal and external meetings.
- Messaging and Reporting: Contribute to membership newsletters and analyze reporting information to provide insight into the team's work.
- Travel and Logistics: Organize travel and materials required by the team.
This role requires the ability to remain calm under pressure, with a flexible but methodical approach and the ability to change direction quickly and prioritize tasks accordingly. You will work as part of a team, but also be able to work unsupervised and use your own initiative as appropriate. An interest and commitment to the aims of Dogs Trust is essential, and you must be comfortable around dogs.
