Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Support Leader to join our team in Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing daily cover for various secondary schools in the area.

As a Classroom Support Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience in the absence of regular teaching staff. This will involve supervising classes, maintaining a positive learning environment, and managing classroom behaviour, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise students during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment.
  2. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and learning activities to students across various subjects.
  3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  4. Provide support and guidance to students as they complete assigned tasks.
  5. Report any incidents or issues to senior staff as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly in a supervisory or support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
