About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Ecologist Specialist to join our team in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile marine projects and contribute to our growing portfolio of work.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine ecology and experience in providing technical advice and guidance on marine consenting and licensing regimes. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical marine ecological and marine consenting advice to internal and external clients;
  • Manage inputs to a wide range of workstreams and deliverables across various projects;
  • Deliver marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments;
  • Ensure quality and compliance with our rigorous quality management procedures;
  • Collaborate with specialists in underwater acoustics, coastal processes, water scientists, and marine archaeologists;
  • Contribute to work winning, including developing technical and fee proposals;
  • Mentor junior members of the team.
Requirements
  • A recognised degree in a relevant discipline such as marine biology/ecology or a related biological or science discipline;
  • Comprehensive marine ecological expertise with demonstrable experience in the preparation and review of specialist technical chapters;
  • A detailed understanding of the marine consenting and licensing regimes across the UK;
  • Ability to provide technical advice and application of advanced scientific practices, theories, and technologies.
