Role Overview

Leonard Cheshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join their team at Sobell Lodge. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling vulnerable individuals to live independently and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and meal preparation, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Escort and support service users in and around the service, as well as during external events and appointments, to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Support the Person-Centred approach by encouraging maximum independence and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to monitor progress and inform decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and creativity in working with service users and their families, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Personal care experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training and support are provided.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Willingness to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota as required.
