Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Engineer to join our Mechanical Safety Team at AWE Plc. The successful candidate will have experience in maintaining mechanical building services, HVAC systems, and industrial gas systems, as well as knowledge of relevant British Standards and Industry Standards.

The Senior Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of engineering safety are met and maintained, including assessing and managing risks associated with engineering activities, developing and implementing safety procedures, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in reviewing suitability of Mechanical safe systems of work for maintenance delivery by AWE and contract personnel. They will also have experience in reviewing legislative records pertaining to engineering safety and providing advice on the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety.

The salary for this role is £47,690 - £70,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will also be entitled to a 9-day working fortnight, which allows for every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave.
