Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV Cat C driver to join our Winter Maintenance team in the Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle and ensuring the safe operation of our network during the winter season.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle on allocated routes and undertake associated activities, including washing down the vehicle and equipment, fuelling up, and keeping good records.
  • Be on standby throughout the winter maintenance season and respond to callouts as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and efficient winter service.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (category C) entitlement and a full CPC is essential.
  • A valid Winter Maintenance qualification is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for suitable applicants.
  • The ability to get to Strensham or Coleshill Depot within 1 hour's notice.
