This is a workshop-based engineering role that involves repairing, servicing, and maintaining wheelchairs in the East Sussex area. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, be organized, and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance of wheelchairs as directed by the Warehouse Manager/Service Manager
  • Process all associated paperwork concerning repairs and servicing accurately on a daily basis
  • Ensure infection control policy is followed at all times
  • Undertake Engineering work in terms of service, repairs, and scrapping, and be accountable for outcomes
  • Admin duties as required, update the system
  • Ensure all parts used are allocated through correct process, recorded on the system
  • Acknowledge strict adherence to operational procedures
  • Represent the company professionally in all communication with clients
  • Assist with stocktakes as needed
  • Participate in an emergency call-out rota and support field service duties

Requirements:
  • Full driving license essential
  • 18 months of driving experience
  • Organized and able to work to a plan
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Background and experience in mechanical or electrical engineering welcome
  • Ideal qualifications include GCSE level/NVQ level 1 or equivalent
  • Satisfactory DBS disclosure
  • Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering
  • Trustworthy and reliable
