Neurological Rehabilitation Therapist

About the Role
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Badby Park, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of residents, organizing efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time, and supporting junior therapists in this process.
- Formulate and deliver individual Occupational Therapy management and treatment programs based on specialist knowledge of clinically reasoned and evidence-based practice and treatment options, employing advanced clinical assessment, knowledge, and reasoning skills to provide treatment using a broad range of techniques and alternative options.
- Take responsibility for and oversee the clinical OT supervision, education, and performance of more junior members of therapy staff, students (when present), and therapy assistants, undertaking supervision/appraisal of these staff groups, ensuring all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapy profession qualification
- Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs
- Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills
- Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
