About the Job:

As Lead Power Engineer, you will provide technical and professional leadership for the HV Non Traction Power system. This involves leading on the upholding of standards and technical requirements for the discipline, providing assurance that design, construction, testing and commissioning of the system meet project requirements and work to resolve issues where appropriate.

About You:

This role requires a Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of UK construction regulations, Common Safety Method and Regulatory/Legislative Framework. You should also have commercial awareness including cost delivery, schedule targets and integrated solutions.

Educational Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience
  • Degree in Engineering or related field

Educational Background:

  • Relevant experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering, safety standards and activities on large complex projects
  • Managing competing project and engineering demands with cost and schedule implications

Educational Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering or related field
  • Certification in Project Management or related field

Educational Background Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the relevant field
  • Proven track record of delivering high-profile projects on time and within budget

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills
