About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Engineer to lead our High Voltage Non-Traction Power system.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of our power systems.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our systems meet project requirements, work safely, and resolve issues effectively.

You will also provide technical advice and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of standards and technical requirements for the HV Non-Traction Power system;
  • Providing assurance that designs and installations meet project requirements;
  • Supporting the Head of HV Systems Engineering in engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders;
  • Ensuring an integrated approach to delivering the HV Non-Traction System design;
  • Developing and implementing best practices and innovative techniques to improve efficiency;

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in electrical engineering and power systems;
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects;
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to colleagues;
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of cost delivery and schedule targets;
  • Knowledge of applicable UK construction regulations and safety methods;

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of £54,500 - £78,800 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a flexible benefits fund of 20% which is paid on top of base salary and is fully pensionable.
