About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Area Services Coordinator to join our team at Life, a UK-based charity that supports individuals through pregnancy and pregnancy loss. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operational management of our support services and housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Area Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring our clients receive consistent, high-quality care.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff and volunteers to provide trauma-informed, holistic support.
  • Oversee daily operations of housing units and manage the referrals system to ensure effective housing management, health and safety, and tenancy adherence.
  • Monitor and improve client pathway quality, addressing risks and safeguarding issues.
  • Provide out-of-hours management support on a rota system to ensure our clients receive 24/7 support.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing support services and housing operations with strong operational and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in trauma-informed care, holistic support needs, and managing risks and safeguarding issues.
  • Skilled in recruiting, training, and developing staff and volunteers.
  • Effective in supervising and supporting staff and volunteers.
  • Knowledgeable in housing management, health and safety, and tenancy adherence.
  • Flexible to provide out-of-hours support as needed.
  • Committed to equality, diversity, and continuous service improvement.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and best practices.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time contracts).

  • Birthday leave after 1 year of service.
  • Paid mileage (at a competitive rate of 45p per mile) for travel to locations other than the base location.
