Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at K&Z Holdings Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building structures, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proactive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure facilities are safe and functional.
  2. Reactive Maintenance: Respond to on-site maintenance emergencies, diagnose faults, and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
  3. Multi-Site Management: Travel across designated locations to carry out maintenance tasks and liaise with site managers.
  4. General Building Repairs: Undertake building and construction-related repairs, including carpentry, plastering, and painting.
  5. Electrical Work: Conduct minor electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  6. Plumbing: Handle plumbing repairs, including leaking taps, blocked drains, and faulty pipework.
  7. Facilities Maintenance and Compliance System: Use our internal system to raise, review, log, and track maintenance issues.
  8. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  9. Equipment and Materials: Maintain an inventory of essential tools and materials for repairs and installations.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role.
  2. Multi-Skilled: Hands-on experience in building, construction, electrical, and plumbing work is essential.
  3. Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required.
  4. Problem-Solving: Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  5. Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  6. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Organisation: Strong time-management skills.
  8. IT Literacy: Basic computer skills for using the Facilities Maintenance and Compliance Programme.
Desirable:
  • Gas Safe registered
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, Plumbing, or Facilities Management.
  • Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant qualifications.
