Job Description

This role is responsible for managing all Group Plant Equipment and Spare Parts for both our Glass operating business in Europe, Africa, and preferred MRO suppliers for Europe. The successful candidate will have significant interactions with the Central Technical Service (CTS) team, local engineering, plant leadership, and regional procurement teams.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with technical experts and local procurement to ensure compliance, best commercial value (cost and cash), and world-class supply from our suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier agreements meet the business unit's needs and requirements.
  • Initiate and implement projects to increase efficiency in the supply chain, such as long-term agreements and support of product standardizations.
  • Support the implementation and renewal of new or existing spare part agreements for OEMs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values by upholding our standards of business conduct, complying with Group policies and procedures, and leading by example.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Experience in procurement with a technical understanding of plant equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Commercial negotiation skills and ability to close agreements.
  • Contract law and contract management knowledge.
  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence to act in a technical environment and represent commercial standing.
  • Fluent English language written and spoken skills (second language desirable).
  • Ability to inspire, delegate, and be an intuitive, creative visionary.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.


Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
