Job Title: Paralegal for Litigation and Inquests

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated Paralegal for a permanent position. The firm serves corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 practice areas from offices throughout London and across England and Wales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work cohesively within a team and take responsibility for individual work.
  • Exercise financial control over work carried out, ensuring billing targets are met.
  • Ensure Quality Control compliance as defined in the Office Manual.
  • Retain accreditation qualification if applicable.
  • Participate in marketing events to ensure the continuous growth of the Department.
  • Draft legal documents, liaise with clients, and develop advocacy skills.
  • Assist in dealing with complaints received on cases.
  • Assist with audit enquiries when applicable.

Key Skills:

  • A strong academic record and demonstrable experience relevant to the role.
  • Experience in Legal Aid and Litigation is essential, ideally within Inquests/CAPA.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Legal Aid Agency's online CCMS system would be an advantage.
  • Legal skills and knowledge, negotiation skills, and analytical skills.
