Job Title: Paralegal for Litigation and Inquests

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated and experienced Paralegal for a highly sought permanent position.

The firm serves corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 practice areas from offices throughout London and across England and Wales. They hold the Investors in People Gold Accreditation Quality Standard Mark and are LEXCEL, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO 27001-2013 accredited and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work cohesively within a team and take responsibility for individual work.
  • Exercise financial control over work carried out, ensuring billing targets are met.
  • Ensure Quality Control compliance and deal with non-compliance matters efficiently.
  • Retain accreditation qualification if applicable.
  • Contribute to the firm's successful development, participating in marketing events to ensure continuous growth.
  • Draft legal documents, liaise with clients, and develop advocacy skills.
  • Assist in dealing with complaints and audit enquiries.
Key Skills:
  • A strong academic record and relevant experience in legal aid and litigation.
  • Experience in Legal Aid and Litigation, ideally within Inquests/CAPA.
  • Excellent organisational skills, prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Legal Aid Agency's online CCMS system is an advantage.
  • Legal skills, negotiation skills, and analytical skills.
  • Good administration skills, capable of ordering documents and completing legal aid/controlled work documentation.
