Regulatory Compliance Specialist

The RoleAs a member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting licensing inspections, investigating complaints, and collaborating with other agencies to ensure a streamlined and effective licensing process. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled licensing inspections based on risk assessment principles, ensuring that all licensed entities meet regulatory standards.
- Lead investigations into complaints involving licensed premises, vehicles, drivers, and other relevant activities.
- Coordinate with other departments, agencies, and authorities to provide a cohesive and effective licensing enforcement service.
- Manage enforcement actions, including issuing notices, preparing prosecution files, and presenting cases to internal panels or committees.
- Offer expert guidance on licensing matters to businesses, community members, and internal departments, fostering informed and compliant practices.
- Develop relationships with industry trade bodies, pubwatch programs, and the licensed vehicle trade to promote licensing awareness and alignment with best practices.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including a 25-day annual leave entitlement, a contributory pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
