Are you a passionate Fire Engineer looking for a new challenge? Penguin Recruitment Ltd is proud to be working with an independent Consultancy specialising in Fire Safety and Engineering Services, seeking a Fire Safety Consultant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar) and experience of providing fire safety advice in the nuclear sector and in a conventional environment. They will also have experience of implementing the principle of fire science to real projects, management of fire safety on construction sites, a full UK driving license, and computer literacy.

The successful Fire Safety Consultant will have the opportunity to work on projects in a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, nuclear, and many more. They will develop fire strategies and performance-based designs, supported by fire and evacuation modelling, risk analysis, and cost benefit analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fire safety strategies and designs for various sectors
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and provide advice on fire safety measures
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver fire safety solutions

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel within the UK and overseas
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, national and international standards
