Truck Safety Trainer

We are looking for an experienced HGV driver to take on the role of Truck Safety Trainer. As part of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering coaching sessions to enhance the skills of our delivery drivers, with a focus on promoting safe and efficient HGV operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coaching & Training: Deliver coaching sessions to delivery drivers, focusing on safe and fuel-efficient driving practices.
  2. Tachograph Compliance: Educate drivers on tachograph usage and ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Delivery Point Risk Assessments: Conduct assessments at delivery points to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  4. Vehicle Checks: Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure drivers are aware of essential maintenance requirements.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor driver performance and provide feedback to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Essential: HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of driving experience, with a strong understanding of HGV operations and safety protocols.
  • Training Background: Preference given to candidates with experience as a Driver Trainer, Driver Assessor, or Driving Instructor.

Salary: £65,000 per annum
