Role Summary
Quest Employment is seeking an experienced Credit Control Specialist to join their team based in Kettering. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of account and credit control processes, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage client relationships.

The successful applicant will be responsible for proactively contacting client accounts via email and telephone, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding debts. They will also be required to update notes from customers and record all collections on the finance system, as well as present Credit Holds to clients and suggest resolution paths.

This role offers a salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, and comes with a range of benefits including free on-site parking and performance-based quarterly bonuses.

About the Role
As a Credit Control Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in working with a portfolio of clients and will be responsible for proactive contact with the customers to ensure collection activity is recorded and promptly reported within the finance system.

Your key responsibilities will include:
* Proactively contacting client accounts by email and telephone and ensuring prompt collection of outstanding debts.
* Taking phone calls from clients with account queries and to resolve any accounting issues.
* Updating notes from customers and recording all collections on the finance system.
* Presenting Credit Holds to clients while suggesting resolution paths.
* Recording and reporting queries to the wider business areas for resolution.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience within credit control, with a comprehensive understanding of account and credit control processes. You will also need to be confident on the telephone, happy to call customers to ask for and take payment, and possess excellent verbal and communication skills for communicating with clients and internal teams.

You will also need to be proficient in Excel and other IT and finance systems and software, and have a can-do attitude – happy to help your customer and colleagues when required. A team player with a good sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
