About the Role

Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer at Connexa Technology, you will be part of a dynamic team providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for advanced communication and navigational equipment on vessels of all sizes. You will have the opportunity to work on retrofit projects, completing large-scale system integrations and bridge installs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct VDR-APTs (Voyage Data Recorder Annual Performance Tests)
  • Perform Radio Surveys and install, maintain, and repair GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair navigational equipment
  • Install and maintain VSAT satellite broadband systems
  • Work on large retrofit projects, completing bridge installs and system integrations on a variety of vessels

Requirements:

  • HNC/ONC/NVQ Level or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field
  • IT/Engineering-based education or qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Marine Service Engineer
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic and electrical engineering principles
  • GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer Licence preferred
  • Valid passport and the ability to pass a marine/offshore worker medical examination
  • Full UK driving licence
