Reporting into Director of Events, you will sell and plan high-profile corporate and social events at Raffles London and deliver exceptional service while doing so.

Assuming full responsibility for the smooth running of your events, you will guide your clients through the event planning process with care and attention to ensure that every element is thought of and that they have an excellent experience with Raffles London.

To develop strong relationships with your clients, you will encourage repeat business and be proactive in developing new business.

There is also the opportunity to contribute to projects to strengthen the positioning of the events department as required.

Specifically, as the Senior Events Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • To sell and plan events, including taking initial enquiries, preparing proposals, sending contracts, negotiating pricing, preparing event orders, planning, and executing events to the highest level and in line with Raffles London standards.
  • To work with corporate accounts for much of the time but to sell and plan social events on occasion.
  • To be present at the event to provide a smooth link for the client to the operations team and to support in the seamless running of the event for the client.
  • To build up a portfolio of regular clients and to encourage repeat business.
  • To develop new events business and to take proactive action to do so.
  • To conduct site visits and entertain guests.
  • To accurately forecast for all events that you manage and to keep all bookings up to date and to follow Raffles standards when using Delphi.fdc.
  • To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of event trends and think innovatively to create and offer new and exciting event experiences at Raffles London.
  • Additional responsibilities in the absence of a line manager or senior employee.
  • To perform other duties as required or assigned, including working in a different department or restaurant than usually assigned.
