We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Plymouth, one of the largest and most dynamic student accommodation firms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the finance inbox, responding to supplier queries with confidence.
  2. Perform weekly bank reconciliations across all company accounts, ensuring accuracy and maintaining balance.
  3. Gather and verify payroll data for submission to our external payroll provider, while addressing any payroll-related queries.
  4. Conduct regular audits on direct debits, standing orders, and general expenditure to ensure compliance and orderliness.
  5. Provide insightful financial reports and analysis of company accounts to the Accounts Manager.
  6. Monitor and reconcile utility accounts for company sites, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
Requirements:
  1. Expertise with Xero accounting software.
  2. Flexibility to contribute to various tasks across the team when needed.
  3. Relevant qualifications such as ICB or AAT, or equivalent experience.
