Retail Store Manager

Shaws Department Stores, a trusted and much-loved Irish family-owned business, is seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to lead their busy modern department store in Dun Laoghaire. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales to full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all areas of the store operation, including customer service, sales, and store standards.
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve the highest levels of customer service and store standards.
- Provide feedback to the Head of Retail regarding day-to-day business and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive sales to full potential and highlight poor-performing departments.
- Deal with and resolve customer queries and complaints in accordance with the company's customer service policy.
- Oversee the management of store rosters to ensure costs are controlled and within budgets.
- Participate in weekly management meetings to bring forward issues, ideas, and feedback.
- Devise training and development initiatives for staff.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all persons affected by the activities of the store.
- Implement the company's policies and procedures in-store.
- Proven ability in managing a diverse retail offering within a fashion retail environment.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Working knowledge of employment law, health & safety regulations, and consumer law.
