Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced GCSE Delivery and Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at the National Skills Agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting learners with GCSE delivery and ad hoc Functional Skills, while also contributing to the development of our curriculum and planning.
Responsibilities
- Support learners with GCSE delivery and ad hoc Functional Skills, ensuring that they achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans, taking into account the diverse needs of our learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and planning, ensuring that our programmes meet the needs of our clients and awarding bodies.
- Provide pastoral support to learners, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Monitor and record learner progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
- Contribute to the development of our centre's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with national guidelines and best practice.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong background in teaching and learning, with experience of working with learners in a similar context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and manage competing priorities.
- A deep understanding of the GCSE curriculum and functional skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective lessons.
- Experience of working with learners who require additional support, such as those with special educational needs or English language learners.
