About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing professional design expertise on a wide range of road schemes.

Your primary focus will be on leading projects and mentoring junior designers, ensuring that all engineering solutions meet the highest technical standards and client requirements.

You will be responsible for preparing and checking designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation, as well as overseeing the actions of more junior team members.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the commercial success of projects within your portfolio, controlling budgets and managing costs associated with deliverables.

As a key liaison with clients and suppliers, you will attend progress meetings, respond to queries, and contribute to the preparation of bids and the general work-winning function.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong design background and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions

Requirements
  • Successful completion of professional review or end-point assessment
  • Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent professional licence
