As a Principal Engineer with BAE Systems Submarines, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our submarines products.

The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development, delivery, and maintenance of the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case.

Your responsibilities will include leading the derivation and management of Product Safety requirements, working in accordance with Project Safety Management Plans, and influencing the development of a safe design.

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of engineering safety management processes, such as hazard analysis, logical safety arguments, and safety case reporting. You should also have previous experience creating justification reports and a reasonable understanding of safety within systems engineering.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to support hazard identification meetings and maintain the project hazard log. You will also complete peer reviews, checking, verification, and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
